Morning all

It has been a busy week for Shane and the stable with the trials on Monday combined with the regular day to day trackwork.

As mentioned earlier in the week the horses that trialled have come through their respective hit outs well, showing no signs of fatigue and all eating up well.

Shane will look for suitable starts in the coming fortnight for Archie Luxury, Ask Patrick and Don’tbabylon. Similarly Shane will look to start the Hoff again in the next week or so more than likely at Kilmore, his recent start was pleasing seeing him returning to the pointy end of the field, here’s hoping he can go one better in his next outing.

Riverside Boy is doing nicely in the spelling paddock he is due to come back into work in about 2 weeks to kick off his second prep.

The stable’s latest acquisition Triple Snitz will be coming into work next week to start his first preparation under our banner. The Snitz has enjoyed his time in the paddock, as Shane reports the horse appears to be very well in himself running around the paddock and pig rooting like a yearling. As the Snitz is a Magic Millions graduate the plan is to prepare him for a MM race to be held at Ballarat late November with the ultimate goal of heading to the Gold Coast in early January for the main race day. As always this plan will be dictated by the horses wellbeing as top priority.

So what’s ahead?

Dane Thunder kicks off his new campaign of at Geelong tomorrow in Race 9 with Luke Nolen aboard. Shane is very pleased with how the Thunder has come through the week just gone, the horse is very bright in himself and is ready to start. Hopefully we can turn our luck around in this prep, he was knocking on the door last time in, one thing you can take to the bank is that the horse always puts in.

Here’s hoping he’s got his “hoof on the till” tomorrow. Best of luck to the Thunders connections for tomorrow.

Shane has Ikura heading to Benalla on Monday for her next start, she is an honest performer hopefully she can perform well for her respective owners.

For the owners of the Thunder who can make it tomorrow Shane and I look forward to catching up with you and hopefully toasting a victory.

Until you hear from me next

“Good Luck and Good Punting”

“Go Thunder”

Cheers
